HOW THE GAME IS PLAYED
Part One: Game start time approx: 10:00am
- The first phase of the game will require the Mexican Army to march on the territory currently under occupation of the Texans.
- The Mexican Army will assemble in the parking lot near TopGun’s Target range.
- They will enter the field and when the game begins, march to meet the Texans on the other side of the San Antonio River.
- The Texans will assemble at the end of the parking lot near the lake.
- When the game begins they will have to rush to defend their border town of La Villita on the edge of the valley.
- The goal of the Mexican Army is to seize control of both Texan villages (La Villita and San Antonio de Bexar)
- The goal of the Texans is to defend their territory against onslaught of superior numbers of the Mexican Army.
- ONCE BOTH TEXAN TOWNS FALL TO THE MEXICAN ARMY THE GAME WILL BE PAUSED
- Part Two:
- The Texans will assemble inside The Alamo
- The Mexican Army will be split and assemble in both La Villita and San Antonio de Bexar.
- AT THE SOUND OF “THE CANNON” THE BATTLE OF THE ALAMO WILL BEGIN
Game End time: Approx 4:00pm
For all those who are students of history please don’t tell anyone on the Texan team how the real battle of The Alamo turned out
RULES:
- Games go on rain or shine. If weather is deemed dangerous game may be delayed until safe conditions return.
- All Guns chronoed at 285fps
- Paint Grenades ok, but must be thrown by hand at an angle. (No line drives)
- Sorry, NO smoke grenades can be used by players. (FOREST FIRE BAD!!)
- Pay attention to the boundary tapes and areas designated as out of play.
- Only paintballs sold at TopGun can be used at TopGun.
- Hits include you and anything you are carrying from head to toe. (Gun hits count)
- 10 minute reinsertion
- Eliminated players must go to designated “dead zones”.
- Stay away from the Great Adventure parking lot. Their security forces carry real guns.
- Check yourself first. If you call yourself out, You’re out.
- Removing goggles in any play area will result in elimination. For their own safety, repeat offenders may be asked to leave for the day. (No refunds)
SPECIAL RULES:
- If you are within 5 ft of any structure (building or bunker) hit by a “Cannon Ball” you will be eliminated. This does not apply to the perimeter of the fortress walls or open areas.
- Although it would probably look really cool, no one should attempt to scale the walls of The Alamo. There are three entrances to get in.
- Cannons can only be knocked out by other cannons. The cannon ball must hit the target plate attached to each cannon. If a cannon is knocked out, it will be unusable for 10 minutes.
- VERY IMPORTANT: Only water balloons or loose paintballs can be shot from cannons.
- Anything else can be dangerous. Paint grenades or anything else shot from cannons will result in immediate shutdown of the cannon and expulsion of the offending players.
- During final 30 minutes of the game no reinsertions will be made within The Alamo.
- The game will end when the Mexican flag is raised inside The Alamo.
